Partners


The public workforce system is comprised of organizations that have as their mission to drive the state’s economy and assist individuals with their own unique situations and perhaps barriers to employment, to participate in the economy and enjoy a favorable quality of life.

Services of the SC Works Pee Dee centers are coordinated on a local basis by an SC Works center operator who is selected by the Pee Dee Workforce Development Board.

As defined by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Title I, one-stop centers must include six core partner programs. These are:

  1. Adult Education and Literacy Act Programs
  2. Rehabilitation Act Title I programs
  3. Wagner-Peyser Act employment services
  4. -6. WIOA Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth programs

Other local community and faith-based groups may also participate as partners and provide additional services to workforce participants.
